Hi Micki, love your house! We are slowly remodeling also. I think you are on the right track painting your trim soft white, it should anchor the top floor to the bottom level and porch. I've used alot of sherwin Williams paint thru the years, currently using Alabaster (warm white) for my trim color. Almost went gray on the house, but decided on tan with black shutters and front door, white trim. Good luck and enjoy your beautiful home! Suzan F
